Low Carb Lavosh

One of our diligent customers has been talking to me about possibly producing low carb lavosh breads so we can all have ready made yummy at our fingertips. In the meantime, that inspired me to give it a go. I am sure her recipe will be much better, and I can’t wait to have another ready made product available to us. But in the meantime, these were just perfect!

Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 15 mins Total time: 20 mins Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 5 TBS LC Pie Crust and Biscuit Flour
  • 1 TBS gentle fibre (from Woollies) – or you could just use psyllium husks
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/4 tsp ground salt
  • 1 TBS water
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 TBS olive oil

Instructions

Add everything into a bowl except for the salt and mix until combined and a soft dough is formed.
Knead for 1 minute until smooth.
Roll the dough out to a lamington size tray between 2 sheets of baking paper then peel off one layer.
Use a pizza cutter or sharp knife to score the dough into desired size then brush with some extra olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Place the tray into an oven on 170°C for 15 minutes.
Allow lavosh to cool fully and store in an airtight container.
